In honor of Women’s History Month, AMA Austin invites you to attend the upcoming event, Women Leaning into Leadership.

In the panel, we'll discuss how to be influential women and advocates for women in the workplace by pursuing goals and facing challenges.

Christine Mei is the CEO of Gathered Foods, makers of the Good Catch® brand. Good Catch is a culinary-focused, innovation-driven, 100% plant-based seafood brand that delivers the taste, texture, and comparable nutrition of conventional options. She is a global leader with extensive consumer goods experience – having been based in the US, China, and Hong Kong – with roles in general management, marketing, strategy, sales and operations. Christine has held various leadership positions at the global, regional, and local levels across Beiersdorf, Royal Philips, The Coca-Cola Company, The Dow Chemical Company, Nike and Procter & Gamble. She has managed teams around the world in developed, developing, and emerging countries – creating business strategies and operational processes to catalyze accelerated growth, even under volatile conditions. Christine enjoys being part of the entrepreneurial community as an investor and mentor for SKU, a CPG accelerator based in Austin, Texas, and also serves on the Board of Directors for Naturally Austin. She holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas and an MBA from Rice University.

Ali Smith focuses on recruiting Go-to-Market leaders across late-stage venture and high-growth private equity clients in her role as Partner at True Search. By applying an analytical mind to every human capital situation, Ali views a company's workforce as their best asset and market advantage. Prior to True, Ali served as the general manager of Hunt Club, a technology services start-up in Chicago, where she helped build and scale operations and the company’s go-to-market strategy. Ali began her search career at Russell Reynolds Associates focused functionally on financial officers, global asset wealth management leaders, and investment banking professionals. Ali started her career in public accounting at Crowe Horwath as a risk and compliance consultant for financial institutions. Ali holds a Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

Deirdre Walsh is an award-winning marketer with 20 years of experience building innovative, global campaigns for a wide range of technologies – from semiconductors to SaaS. Deirdre is passionate about equity and education, serving as a White House LGBTQ Tech and Innovation Fellow and a board member of the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce and Texas Impact. Jenny Mays joined Sabre’s Hospitality Solutions division in 2017 as VP, Product Management focusing on optimizing distribution for hotel clients across indirect channels, including global distribution systems, online travel agencies and wholesalers. With over 17 years of travel industry experience and a passion for data and analytics, she has the ability to develop product and business strategies that drive customer success. Her deep understanding of hospitality distribution, digital commerce and technology has been gained through her pivotal roles with DHISCO, Travelocity and Sabre as well as AT&T and Nortel Networks. Prior roles include senior leadership roles in product management, business operations, product strategy, account management and financial and strategic analysis. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
